The Themes of Exploration for the Coming Year

Prophecies are the potential arising from the present moment of our thoughts and activities. The state of our minds in the present shapes the appearances of tomorrows. The completion of the Mayan calendar cycle of December 21, 2012 will bring us into direct contact with the inner workings of mind, matter and nature. As we prepare ourselves, we anticipate the thunderbolt as an initiator, revealing time as strata of the mind. A new day begins in each moment. The lesson for humanity is virtuous activity and integrity with the field of mind.

Dance of the Directions

The first stage of the dance was to look at the rising sun while facing the East, and holding our hands upward we received its grace and brought it back to our hearts, while stepping out with the left foot. We would do the circle breath and inhaling we formed our hands into a triangle, and bending at the knees, waist straight, we reached down into the Earth and inhaled her breath as we slowly rose, and when our hands reached our hearts, we turned them up and we exhaled to heaven, making an offering. Our hands continued rising over our heads, receiving the blessings of the universe and inhaling, we brought this energy back to our hearts and then down to the earth.

I experienced a sense of spiraling energy ascending and descending within our bodies, while our awareness of ourselves in a sphere of threadlike light surrounded us and expanded to make apparent the connections to other beings in our immediate environment, and those far away. The awareness of these threads make clear how every atom is united in the field of orenida, which is luminous potential. As the sun rises the East reveals exploration for the day, the suns warmth melts away the lethargy of sleep as our body is enlivened is warmed by its warm and gentle rays.

Shifting our weight to the left and spiraling out on the right diagonal, we would reach forward and consider we were reaching into the future and drawing the potential of that direction again to our hearts, settling down and stepping out and behind on the diagonal and reached into the past, connecting with all those who had gone before us and gathering wisdom back to our hearts.

Sometimes while doing this movement we would see other people and feel how in our own spiraling life force their essence still flowed within us. In this way, our ancestors were very much alive within our own physical forms, and the wisdom of their experience was accessible to us.

We repeated the movements of bending our knees, reaching down to the earth, inhaling, and exhaling offering to the sky, with our hands infused with the energy of receiving and giving as we offered again to the earth and the sky, shifting our weight to the right and spiraling to the left as the arm and left leg extended into the south. We repeated this in all the directions; three, six, nine twelve times, until we feel ourselves thrumming with the vibrations of the earth and sky. As we exhaled we felt the cascading waves of grace from above, and from the realm of Ungaawi, the stars and the universes. In this way our relationship wit the entire environment was made tangible.

This dance trained the pathways in our body to be supple to resonate with the pulse beat of the universe. Through this resonance we would be able to sense what was going on in other parts of the world and as we drew the energy back to our hearts, some of us cold see or feel how it was for other people who were not physically present with us, but still connected through the threads of light. These threads of light around the body became more vibrant, usually when the seasons were changing and during the new moon. These threads were so vibrant and tangible that some times people looked like balls of light yarn.

The dance increased our ability to sense through our hands. As we inhaled we held our hands over an object and read its message. This was a lesson taught to us so that we would recognize the impressions left in the environment from others who passed by and thus we were reminded our thought, word and action left ripples in the field of light. We were wise to choose that which is beneficial, or it came down to we always wanted to leave a good trail. These trails can guide people into more understanding. One could feel all the beings or people who had touched or passed by the object, and where they left strong traces you could see the sense in which they worked with or carried the stone. This was taught so that we could read the information stored in the crystals for our education, and to understand the impact of our thought and action upon the environment. From this we were taught exercises which were helpful in tracking, so you could see the little light essence, or globule, that people left in a room; sometimes appearing as a gray luminescence in a space like a forest. I called them light trails. The physical trail left from a body had a blue gray luminescence and was dictated according to the health of a the person, and their emotions or thoughts would leave bubbles or holographic pictures of them as they passed through the space. These holographic images contained the feeling, the experience, the smell of those who had passed through an area. All of this strengthened our senses. We would play hide and see to follow the trail another had left. Although I have not specifically taught this technique to my grandsons, through play I have noted that they have become quite skillful in appearing and not appearing in space. Through playing these games, they have learned to approach an area without being seen or felt by wrapping themselves in a cloak of quiet and then all of a sudden they let their minds become active and they become physically apparent. They get quite a big charge out of this, shocking adults as they pop into view.
